I'm in my hotel room in Amman right now it's about 3:40am here. I was picked up by a really nice driver from the hotel I'm staying at who offered to take me around Jordan which was really nice and I will most likely be taking him up on that offer. As expected, what I've seen of Jordan is nothing like anything in the Western World and it looks really interesting and I'm excited to check out Amman later today after I get some sleep. When I left the airport in Jordan the first thing I saw was a big fistfight between two big groups of shouting Jordanians so that was a little stirring and an interesting welcome to the Middle East but everything is ok. Frankfurt was really cool and I posted a picture of part of the city that I saw. I hung out in downtown Frankfurt in this area called Hauptwache for about 4 hours and it was a 15 minute train rise from the airport so it worked out well. I walked around a little bit and hung out in a park before going to get some lunch at a traditional German restaurant. I had some schnitzel and then later some Haagen Dazs which was pretty good and then hung out at the airport for a couple
hours and made a friend who is Dutch and German and was very nice and has been to Amman a lot. Anyway, I'm in my hotel room right now which is just like a typical western hotel except that on TV they are currently airing live footage of people making the pilgrimage at Mecca walking around the Kaaba. I'm going to try to get some sleep even though I'm not that tires for some reason and I will post something tomorrow.
